Richard T. Kelly Jr., age 93, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Irene Gazdik Kelly, passed away on December 2, 2020 in Bridgeport Hospital. Richard was born in Plainfield, New Jersey on June 28, 1927 to the late Richard T. Kelly Sr., and Mary (Smith) Kelly and had been a long-time area resident. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Richard was a retired electrician for the IBEW Local #488. Survivors include his devoted children, Kevin Kelly and his wife Patricia of Ohio, and Kathleen Hirschbeck and her husband Vincent of Stratford, 5 grandchildren, Shawn Kelly and his wife Holly, Erin Fife and her husband Dale, Kelly Heath and her husband Thomas, Kasey and Brett Hirschbeck, 5 great-grandchildren, Katie, Ryan, Molly, Cameron, and Cayson, and several nieces and nephews. Due to the pandemic and restrictions on public gatherings, the family has elected to hold a private service. The Adzima Funeral Home - Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
