Reynaldo E. Muniz, age 94, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, November 5, 2016, in his home. Born December 25, 1921 to the late Ramón and Isidora Muniz in Havana, Cuba, Mr. Muniz immigrated to the U.S. with his wife and children in 1967. He resided in Bridgeport, CT before moving to Shelton with his daughter and son in law 9 years ago. Shortly after arriving in the United States, Mr. Muniz began working as a Manager for Kentucky Fried Chicken. He subsequently worked for General Electric, retiring in 1984. Mr. Muniz was an avid woodworker, creating decorative items and furniture for his family. His attention to detail was second to none, especially when it came to ensuring his measurements were accurate. Measure one more time, just to be sure, then cut.   Mr. Muniz loved spending time with his family, playing dominoes with friends and cooking delicious Cuban dishes. Mr. Muniz was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Silvia. Pachy and Pelu's love affair is legendary and now, eternal.   Mr. Muniz is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Reynaldo Jr. and Dineen Muniz, his daughter and son-in-law Silvia and John Hay, grandchildren Krystyna, Reynaldo III, Natallie, Nathenel, Kaileigh, and Zacharey; Justina, John M. and wife Kim, and great-grandchildren Jayden, Jackson, John M. Jr. and Gavin. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, November 8th at Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Pl. Stratford from 4:00-8:00p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9 ^th meeting directly at St. Mark's Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford at 10:00a.m. Interment will be private.
