Regina Czaplinski Iwaszkiewicz, age 89, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Aleksander Iwaszkiewicz, passed away on October 8, 2023, in her home with her family by her side.

Regina was born in Poland on October 24, 1933, the last of twelve children to the late Ignacy and Julia (Bakinowski) Czaplinski and has been an area resident for many years. Along with her late husband, she operated their own retail business, Leather and Suede Fashions of Stratford.

Survivors include many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 15th from 2-4 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 310 Pulaski Street, Bridgeport. Interment will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Church in Bridgeport.
