Raymond R. Reynolds, age 60, of Oxford peacefully passed away on August 6, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. He grew up in the Walnut Beach section of coastal Milford, CT. He attended Jonathan Law High School in Milford, CT; Central CT State University and Albertus Magnus College. He moved out to the country in Oxford, CT where he has lived the past twenty -five years. Raymond was a hard-working, dedicated and proud retired 35 year UPS Operations Supervisor who worked in Stratford, Orange, Norwalk, and Watertown, CT locations throughout his career. He was well liked and respected by his drivers and peers.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 27 years, Debra who he often affectionately referred to as "my Italian girl". To carry on his legacy he leaves behind his beloved children, Robert Reynolds of Beacon Falls, Jillian Ward and her husband Chris of Shelton, Lia Reynolds and Ryan Reynolds of Oxford.  His adored grandchildren Ty, Jakob, Mia, and Emma. He also leaves his loving Aunt Rosalie Attardo, many cherished cousins; a sister-in-law Dianne Simone and brother-in-law Artie of VA.; his loving and caring mother-in-law and father-in-law Tony and Mafalda Simone of Oxford; his dearest friends; and many, many extended family and friends. He is pre-deceased by his parents Mildred and Owen Reynolds. Raymond filled all their lives with so much love, laughter, faith, guidance, knowledge and friendship.

He had a love of cars primarily Mopars and a passion for guitars. He loved music and was a self -taught guitarist. His all-time favorite band was Lynard Skynard (Simple Man). He also loved all types of Christmas music and he would begin playing it in the car and at home after Thanksgiving Day.

Raymond most definitely enjoyed a good time, had a funny sense of humor and left an impression on everyone he met. He had a genuine love for his family and friends.

He has been referred to as a walking encyclopedia and was always full of advice, facts, and opinions. He was proud of his home, yard, and pool and would often be seen working outside to keep his property looking pristine. But his greatest pride was seeing his children grow up to be responsible, respectful, hard-working, kind-hearted and caring individuals.

Raymond will be most remembered by his generosity, devotion to faith and family, and always making himself available to help others in need. He was a faithful man, who in his final days felt he lived one good and incredibly blessed life. Raymond will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, August 9th from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 10th at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Lawrence Church 505 Shelton Avenue Huntington. Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
