Raymond L. Peck, age 99 of Stratford passes away on Friday, November 13, 2009 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Norwich on Saturday, November 20, 1909 to the late Harry and Grace (Norris) Peck he has been a lifelong area resident. He was the widower of Sarah Hitchon Peck and was a veteran of the US National Guard. Raymond retired from Sikorsky after many years of service and started his own company RASAL Manufacturing in Stratford. He has been a member of the Norwich Elks Lodge 430 for 64 years. Most of all Ray enjoyed the NY Yankees and loved to be outside and gardening. He was predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his beloved daughter Julie Rzasa and her husband Ed of Trumbull; his cherished grandchildren Sarah and Christopher Rzasa; his four legged friend Sadie. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 11 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with Pastor Robert Genevicz officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the service.
