Raymond A. Mihalek, age 80, of Bridgeport, the beloved husband of Lois Somsky Mihalek, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Ray was born in Bridgeport on December 19, 1942 to the late Methodius and Amelia (Krok) Mihalek and has been a lifelong city resident. He was a retired Fire Fighter for the City of Bridgeport. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife Lois include his devoted sons, Mark Mihalek and his wife Jaquelyn of Monroe, Gregory Mihalek of Bridgeport and Jeffrey Mihalek of Derby, his cherished grandchildren, Ava and Lucas Mihalek, his brothers, David Mihalek and his wife Geri of Derby and Joseph Mihalek and his wife Sandra of Shelton, a sister, Martha Olbrys of Stratford, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass a of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00 am in Our lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane Stratford. Inurnment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Trumbull. The Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford has been entrusted with the arrangements.
