Hardy – Ralph Cordingley Hardy of Stratford, age 95, Beloved husband of Dorothy Lucifora Hardy passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Ct. Hospice in Branford. Born in Bridgeport to the late Bertram and Florence Cordingley Hardy, Ralph was a lifelong area resident, served in the US Army during WW11 and retired as Post Master from the US Postal Service. He also worked as a courier for many years at State National Bank and volunteered at Bridgeport Hospital. Ralph, loved to read, was an avid Crossword puzzler, a Jeopardy guru and sang in many Churches and at many weddings. Besides his wife, Ralph is survived by a daughter Ann C. Dwyer and her daughter Teri Dwyer; also daughters Clara Talarino, Concetta Fiasconaro, Diane Duhancik, Donna Haggerty; grandchildren James and Carmen Hawley, Gary Talarino Jr., Karen, Paul, Danielle and Mark Fiasconaro, Allison Duhancik, John Ryan Jr., Brenna and Patrick Haggerty; great grandchildren Amanda, Adam, Evan, Brynn and a great great grandchild Antonio, and a sister Louise Hoddinott and many nieces and nephews. A brother Jack predeceased him. Friends and family are invited to celebrate a Memorial Service for Ralph on Monday July 21, 2008 at 10:00 am in the Stratford Baptist Church on Huntington Rd. in Stratford, with the Reverend Dr. Robert Genevicz officiating. Calling hours have been omitted and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Ralph's memory may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford CT 06405. Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Pl, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
