Phyllis A. (nee: Gricer) Class, 88, wife of the late Warren R. Class, Jr., died January 17, 2022, at RWJ Hospital, Hamilton Square, NJ. A lifelong resident of the Trenton, NJ area, she was born July 11, 1933.
Phyllis graduated from Hamilton High School West, Class of 1951. Following graduation, she worked as a bank teller in Trenton and married her neighbor across the street, the late Warren R. Class, Jr. on May 15, 1954.
Phyllis loved music and math. She played the piano since childhood, and it was her passion in life. Eventually she went on to work in the Cost Accounting Department of McGraw Hill in Hightstown, NJ. She retired in 1999, along with "WallyGator" the unofficial department mascot.
She was an active member of the Nottingham Women's Club during the 1960's through the 1980's; she loved socializing and having friends and family to cook for. Another thing she enjoyed all her life was swimming; she could be found at pools, lakes and the ocean.
Phyllis had wanderlust to see the globe and was able to share touring the globe with her husband.
Daughter of the late John J. and Julia M. (Voynick) Gricer, niece of the late Rosalie Voynick; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carla L. and Peter Perez of Cape Coral, FL; her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth R. Class and Deborah White, of Mt. Laurel, NJ; her grandson, Kevin G. Class of Hamilton, NJ; her first cousins, Paul and Bonnie Graycar of Conway, PA; George and Ellen Voynick of Trumbull, CT and Marianne and Robert Kaloosdian of Belmont, MA; and other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, Connecticut and internment to follow at St. John's Cemetery, Stratford, CT.
