Peter Symochko, age 55 of Monroe, the beloved husband of Helen Slota Symochko, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 10, 2013 in his home. Peter earned a BS in Electrical Engineering, and worked for General Data Comm Industries of Naugatuck. He was born in Wysowa, Poland to Natalia (Peroh) Symochko of Shelton and the late Michael Symochko and has been a long time area resident. Peter was an active member of the Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist in Bridgeport and the Lemko Club of Yonkers, NY. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife and mother include his cherished sons Peter, Nicholas and Joseph, a sister Helen Zanowiak and her husband John of Shelton, his in-laws Samuel and Joanna Slota of Ansonia, and several brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Requiem Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 17th at 10 a.m. in the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist 364 Mill Hill Avenue Bridgeport. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Panachida at 6 p.m. Those desiring may make donations in Peter's Memory to an Educational Fund for his sons.
