Peter Anthony Spadolino, age 79, a longtime resident of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Mary (Vancho) Spadolino, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 12, in his daughter Patty's home, with his loving family by his side. Mr. Spadolino was born on September 24, 1933, in Bridgeport, to the late Peter and Florence (Riccio) Spadolino and was a graduate of Warren Harding High School, class of 1952. He served honorably as a Corporal in the Army during the Korean War. Peter belonged to the Connecticut Carpenters Union for many years and continued his carpentry profession with Textron Lycoming until his retirement. During his retirement, he was an avid fan of tennis and his beloved Boston Red Sox. Peter is survived by five loving daughters: Rosemary Afholderbach and her husband, Halton, of Prospect; Florence Desiderio and her husband, Joseph, of Henderson, Nevada; Ann Ceresa and her husband, Michael, of Prospect; Marie Dillon of Southington; and Patricia Pallant and her husband, Kenneth, of Seymour. He also leaves five cherished grandchildren: Matthew Afholderbach, Tara Ceresa, Courtney Maler, Alyssa and Dylan Pallant, and one great-granddaughter Baby Maler, due around Christmas time. Peter is also survived by his brother, Joseph Spadolino of Stratford, and sister, Ann Baldino of Milford, in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 10:45 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 11:30 am in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
