Peter Michael Calzati Jr., age 50, of Stratford, peacefully passed away on Monday evening August 15, 2011 in Stamford Hospital after a long illness and courageous battle with diabetes. Peter was born August 22, 1960 in Bridgeport to Helen Kepchar Calzati of Stratford and the late Peter M. Calzati Sr., and has been a life long area resident. He was a graduate of Stratford High School and was a lifetime Yankee fan and Family Man. Survivors in addition to his mother include his beloved wife Georgette Wilson Calzati, his cherished children Michael and Jessica, 2 sisters Donna Calzati Jersey and Sandra Calzati Shokite, mother-in-law Patricia Wilson, brothers-in-law Ron Jersey and Tom Shokite, sisters-in-law Ann Wilson and Patricia Santiago, nephews Ron Jersey and his wife Brenda, Brian and Stephen Jersey, niece Renée Berko and her children Logan and Taylor and several other nieces and nephews. "Peter, you were the love of many lives, and will be forever in our hearts, with love, your family". Friends may greet Peter's family on Friday August 19th from 11:30 am –1:15 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. The placing of his urn in the family mausoleum at St. John's Cemetery Stratford will immediately follow.
