Pearl Skirchak Kisela, age 93, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late John T. Kisela, passed away on June 5, 2014 in Shelton Lakes Health Center. Pearl was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania to the late Andrew and Anna (Hyrnda ) Skirchak, and has been a long time area resident. She was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft, and had been previously employed by Columbia Records, and Norden's. Pearl was an active member of the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, Bridgeport. Survivors include her brother Sam Skirchak, and sisters Josephine Martin, and Tillie Dulak, a nephew Robert Kisela and his wife Jane, and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by her beloved son, Jonathon "Jack" Kisela, and 11 siblings. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 17th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in the Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, Bridgeport, for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. At the family's request calling hours have been omitted. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Pearl's memory to St. John's Church.
