Pauline Walkowski Dolyak, formerly of the Lordship section of Stratford, passed away peacefully with her beloved husband Andrew, daughter Kim and granddaughter Lauren by her side on Tuesday, August 16, 2011. Born in Bridgeport CT on November 12, 1928, she was the youngest daughter of Anna & Harry Walkowski. Pauline was a proud graduate of Warren Harding High School Class of 1946 and an active member of her class reunions. She was past President of the Rosary Society of Our Lady of Peace Church, served as a Eucharistic minister and CCD teacher for many years prior to moving to Fort Lauderdale Florida where she and Andy retired. Throughout their retirement, they enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Andrew of 62 years, she leaves behind four children, Deborah Loban and her husband Louis of Stratford, Craig Dolyak and his wife Laura of Cheshire, Dawn Tarbetsky and her husband Paul of Higganum and Kim Sullivan and her husband Robert of Naugatuck. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Christian, Joshua, Jacob, Rebekah, Lauren, Kelly, Lily and Ana and their respective spouses. In addition, she has four great-grandchildren, Katherine, Chase, Ethan and Noah whom she adored. She is also survived by her youngest brother, Paul Walkowski of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The family would like to thank Marlene, Maria and Loilyn from the Jewish Home for the Elderly for their loving care they gave Mom as well as Kenia Vasquez who became Mom's PCA in Naugatuck. Funeral services will take place on Friday August 19th at 10 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 11 a.m. in Our Lady Peace Chruch, Lordship for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown.
