Obituary

Paul J. Louloudes, born in Bridgeport, CT in 1930 to Demetrios and Evgenia Baglas Louloudes, and a Stratford resident of 31 years, died on November 24th at Connecticut Hospice. The cause was pancreatic cancer. A retired caterer, he was the former owner of Liedle's Caterers of Stratford, which he founded on May 16, 1970. He also operated Liedle's Kitchen in Bridgeport, and was past President of the Connecticut Professional Caterers Association. Paul Louloudes was also very active with Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, where he served as a member of the Building Fund Committee charged with raising the funds and supervising the construction of a new church on Park Avenue. The church opened its doors in 1965. He also served as Chairman of the Kitchen Committee of the Annual Holy Trinity Greek Festival for several years. In early October 2011, he assisted the Church catering a luncheon for 90 local priests. Louloudes was a member of the East End Yacht Club in Bridgeport, and a former Rear Commodore. Under his leadership the Yacht Club instituted the Annual Greek Night Dinner Dance. He was also a 32nd Degree Master Mason affiliated with St. John's Lodge #3, Hamilton Commandary, and Scottish Rites. Paul Louloudes was pre-deceased by his wife of 21 years, Florence DiNicola Louloudes. He survived the passing of his brothers' Spiro and Angelo Louloudes and Steve and George Banores, as well as his nieces, Virginia Tallcouch and Celia Banores, nephews John and Stephen Banores, and Godson Peter Louloudes. He is survived by his four children: Virginia Louloudes of Brooklyn, NY; Adrianne Horn of Newton MA; Demetrios Louloudes of Clinton, MA; and Jennifer DePoto of Stratford, CT; three son-in-laws: John Harrison, Dr. Patrick Horn, and Nick DePoto and daughter-in-law Jennifer Louloudes. His legacy includes eight grandchildren: Sarah, Anastasia, and Alexander Horn; Zachary Paul Harrison; Nicholas Paul and Melina Eleni Louloudes; and twins Andrew Paul and Daniel James DePoto. Several nieces and nephews including his beloved nephew Andrew Banores and his wife Judy also survive him. He was previously married to Toula M. Louloudes, of Chicopee Falls, MA. Paul spent the last years of his life with his beloved companion and friend, Bernice Radacowsky, who spent many years traveling with him across the United States and on the "trips of his dreams" to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. A wake will be held on Monday, November 28th from 4-8 PM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue.With Trisagion Service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 29th at 10 am at Holy Trinity Church as well. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Paul's name to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church's Repair and Maintenance Fund. The Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
