On June 14, 2018, Paul Grosso, longtime Stratford resident, passed from this life. Paul, known as Chief to his family and friends, was the devoted husband of the late Dora Felicella Grosso for over 65 years. He was the proud father of five and grandfather of three.

Paul was born in Bridgeport on January 27 ^th , 1928. He was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Anna (Cenicola) Grosso; his two brothers and his sister; infant daughter, Paula "Baby Girl" Grosso; and his beloved son, Alex Grosso. Paul is survived by his remaining children, Michael Grosso and his wife, Kathy, of Manchester; and Ann Grosso Arnold and her husband, Ray, of Milford along with his pride and joy – his grandchildren, Raymond Arnold of Brooklyn, NY and Lena Arnold of Milford.

Paul was a proud and loyal member of the Connecticut Army National Guard for 39 years, retiring as a fulltime Guardsman in 1985 as a Chief Warrant Officer 4, leaving the Guard entirely in 1987. Paul was a truck and auto mechanic throughout his 35 years as a full time technician, working at the Norwalk, Stratford, and Ansonia armories. Paul enjoyed driving and working on his Pontiacs and his prized El Camino. Paul's family thanks his longtime nurse's aide, Jermaine, for over two years of dedicated care.

Funeral services will be held at the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place in Stratford, on Thursday June 21 ^st at 9:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church, 2070 Main Street in Stratford at 10:30 am. Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, June 20 ^th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Adzima Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, Paul's family requests that those who want to honor his life in some tangible way, make a donation to the US Hunger Relief organization, Feeding America (feedingamerica.org).
