Patricia A. Stueber Harkins, age 79, of Stratford, beloved wife of Eugene Harkins, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in Bridgeport Hospital. Patricia was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey on January 25, 1935 to the late August and Teresa (Mansfield) Stueber, and has been a long time area resident. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her devoted children, Eileen Doolin and her husband Leonard of Southbury, Michael Harkins and his wife Donna of Shelton, Kevin Harkins, and John Harkins and his wife Jody all of Stratford, her cherished grandchildren, Patricia, Kyle, and Mary Doolin, Caitlin, Meaghan, Erin, Molly and Teresa Harkins, a sister, Elaine Eger of New Jersey, a niece, Suzanne Brauer, and a nephew, James McShea. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by a sister, Laverne McShea. A graveside funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 15th at 10 a.m. at Putney Cemetery 5574 Main Street, Stratford (please park in Boothe Memorial Park.) At the family's request calling hours have been omitted. Pat was a good soul who touched many lives and always thought of others, particularly in their time of need. She will be sorely missed by friends and family and will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew her for her good ways, advice and sense of humor. The family would like to thank the staff at Bridgeport Hospital, as well as the Stratford Visiting Nurse Association for their outstanding care and support.
