Olive Cadwell Andel, aged 95, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, formerly of Stratford, CT, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 in the Life Care Center of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Mrs. Andel, a retired Executive Secretary for Sikorsky Aircraft, was born in Bridgeport, CT on August7, 1919 to the late John and Hazel Cadwell, and had been a life - long area resident. She was the widow of John Edward Andel and Albert Lee. Survivors include her devoted sons, Jack and Michele Andel of Brewster, MA, Robert and Marcia Andel of Milford, CT, and David and Paula Andel of Lawrenceville, GA. Olive was blessed with eight grandchildren, Hope Andel Quartuccio, Sarah Andel Lanagan, John Michael Andel, Matthew Andel, Elizabeth Andel, Katherine Ketring, Alyson Easterwood and David George Andel, thirteen great-grandchildren, her sister Jean Roy of NJ, and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Betty Davis, Grace Payne, Hazel Benway, John Cadwell and Frederick Cadwell. Her devotion to her family was only exceeded by her ability to bake apple pies. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 29th at 11:45 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, with Rev. Ed Rawls officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 10:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
