Norman T. Colborne, age 96, formerly of Florida, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 in Shelton Lakes Health Center. Mr. Colborne, a retired Quality Control Manager for Honeycomb was born in Bridgeport to the late Sidney and Mildred (Smith) Colborne and was a graduate of Stratford High School. He was an avid pilot, and was very proud of contributing to the space program at NASA through his work. The Colborne family would like to thank the staff of Shelton Lakes HCC for their kind and loving care, especially Jennifer and Susan. Survivors include his daughters, Joyce Halkowicz and her husband Nicholas of Derby, Barbara Stanley and her husband Richard of Wayland, MA, and Janice Kelb of Florida, 5 grandchildren, Carla Simpson, Shawna Cancelliere, Eric, Jason, and Alicia Kelb, 2 great-grandchildren, Brianna and Oscar. In addition to his parents, Norman was pre-deceased by his brother Arthur Colborne, and sister, Doroth McShane. Funeral services and interment are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
