Nicholas J. Kopcik Sr. age 63 of Monroe passed away on Sunday June 1, 2008 in St. Vincent's Medical Center Bridgeport. Mr. Kopcik was born in Bridgeport on September 25, 1944 to the late Nicholas and Anna (Feltovich) Kopcik and was the owner of NJK Heating and Cooling Company. He was the beloved husband of the late Gale Ann Musante Kopcik and will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who could do or fix anything and was always helping his children and grandchildren who adored him, and an avid animal lover. Survivors include his beloved children Nicholas Kopcik Jr. and his wife Melissa of Newtown and Dawn Adams and her husband Bruce of Seymour, 6 cherished grandchildren Nicholas III, Stephen and Jonathan Kopcik and Joseph, Emma and Ethan Adams, a sister Helen Kopcik of Vermont, 1 niece and 1 nephew and a special friend Georgette Drew of Bridgeport. Funeral services will take place on Thursday June 5th at 9 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church Newtown for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Mount St. Peter's Cemetery Derby. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to the Monroe Volunteer E.M.S.
