Nicholas Finiak, 97, and Ann Finiak, 93, entered into eternal rest on August 26 and 27 respectively with their loving family at their sides. They were united in marriage for 70 years. Nick, born to Peter and Mary Finiak in Wilkes-Barre, PA was a proud veteran of WW II and was employed by Singer and Moore Tool. Ann, born to Barbara and Nicholas Iwasczyszyn in Wilkes-Barre was employed by General Electric and Remington Arms. Their true passion was spending time with friends and family, especially their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They also were devoted to their church and proud of their Ukrainian heritage. Nick and Ann are the loving parents of Sandra Matthew (Paul), Deborah Fahey (Jack); cherished grandparents of Beth (Gregory), Brian (Michelle), Patrick (Noreen), Benjamin (Jennifer), Renee (Michael),Nicholas (Amanda); great-grandparents of Alex, Anna, Nicholas, Jacob, Brianna, Meghan, Ryan, Katherine, and Alexis. They were predeceased by their great-grandson, Thomas. They will be sadly missed by Ann's sisters, Margaret, Barbara, Sister Oksana, and many nieces and nephews. They were also predeceased by Nick's siblings Ann, Mary, Charlie, and Mike, and by Ann's siblings Eve, Tony, Frank, and John. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Lord Chamberlain's second floor staff and to Life Choice Hospice for their compassionate care. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 9:30AM in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10AM in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Trumbull, for a Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Calling hours are Monday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
