Obituary

Nathalie Lepesko Gwara, age 84, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Robert Gwara Sr, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Nathalie, a homemaker was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey to the late John and Mary (Hrenyo) Lepesko and has been a long time area resident. She was a life long member of Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church, Bridgeport, and was a member of their Seniors, and a former Sunday School Teacher and Church Officer. Survivors include her beloved daughters, Elaine Ruggiero and her husband Anthony of Ansonia, Susan Maugeri and her husband Thomas of Huntington, Nancy DiMeo and her husband Carmine of Naugatuck, and Mary Gwara of Bridgeport, daughter-in-law, Joan Gwara of Nichols, 7 cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Ferraioli and her husband Paul, Kimberly Ginex and her husband Joseph, Thomas Maugeri, Melissa Tamura, Carmine DiMeo III and his wife Alissa, Sarah DiMeo and her fiancé Kevin Carabetta, and Kathy DeBrum, 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by a son Robert Jr, a grandson, Anthony Ruggiero III, and a brother Ted Lepesko. Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 28th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church, Bridgeport, for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 p.m., Panachida at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Nathalie's memory to Holy Ghost Church.
