Muriel T. Gabriel, age 90, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2015 in St. Joseph's Manor, Trumbull with her loving husband of 68 years Paul J. Gabriel Jr. by her side. Born in Stratford on August 8, 1924, to the late James and Bertha (Ponder) DeSilvestro, she has resided in Bridgeport for the last 60 years. She worked selling Revlon Cosmetics for D.M. Read Department Store in Bridgeport for 20 years, which she really enjoyed. Survivors in addition to her husband Paul include a beloved daughter Rosemary Gabriel Sierer of Trumbull, 2 cherished grandchildren, Christopher A. Sierer and his wife Christie, and Pamela Digirolamo and her husband Robert, five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony, Brittney, Lindsey and Stephanie, a sister Mildred Heffron of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Paul J. Gabriel, brothers Theo McClean and Anthony Silvestro and sisters Katherine Mary Hovanec Roscoe and Olive Rose Fitzgerald Szymanski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 11:00AM directly in St Theresa's Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull.
