Monica Kawiecki Popadic, age 61, of Monroe, beloved wife of Dennis Popadic, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Monica, a former RN for APT Foundation of Bridgeport, was born ion New Britain to the late Ezebius and Maryana Kawiecki, and has been a life long area resident. She was a graduate of Norwalk Hospital School of Nursing, and was an avid Red Sox fan. Survivors in addition to her husband include her cherished sons Christopher and Timothy, a brother Charles Kawiecki and his wife Chris of Harwinton, brother-in-law Robert Popadic and his wife Karen of MA, a niece Anne Popadic, and 2 nephews John and William Popadic. Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 20th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in St. Jude's Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe.
