Monica Mizak passed away peacefully at Cambridge Manor in Fairfield on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.  Born on March 9, 1942, to the late Joseph and Rose (Turchik) Mizak, she was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport.  Monica graduated from Harding High School and had been employed at Schick, The Bridgeport Post, and as a school bus driver.   She was predeceased by her brother Daniel J. Mizak, M.D.  Monica leaves behind four nieces, 3 great nieces, and a large circle of extended family and friends who remember her as a strong person who kept going despite difficult obstacles and a caring person who took care of others.  Monica dearly loved animals. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Nicholas Pavia on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road Lordship. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours have been omitted. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home - Stratford.
