Michael J. Lesko Sr, Age 83 of Stratford, widower of Lois Sabadosh Lesko passed away on Friday, January 23, 2010 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport to the late John and Anna Ferko Lesko, was a lifelong Stratford resident. Mike was a retired Stratford firefighter. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Okinawa Theater of action. He was also a member of the Stratford Retired Firefighters Benevolent Association. Survivors include a devoted son Michael J. Lesko Jr of Stratford and a sister Anna Kripinger of Shelton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, two brothers, John and Robert Lesko and two sisters Mary Grosso and Susan Lesko predeceased him. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 8:45am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 9:30 am in Holy Name of Jesus Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment with Full Military Honors will take place at St. John's Cemetery in Monroe. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7pm.
