Obituary

Michael "Mike" Anthony Fusco, 74 of Plymouth, MA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 18, 2025. In recent years he faced illness with strength and grace, and at the time of his passing, he was comforted by the presence of his devoted wife, Deborah, at home.

Born on September 28, 1950, in Bridgeport, CT, Michael was the beloved son of the late Czeslawa "Jessie" (Nerkowski) Fusco and Louis Fusco of Stratford, Connecticut. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deborah (Czupryna) Fusco of Plymouth, MA and his two daughters Jillian Fusco of Plainville, MA and Ashley (Fusco) Barone and her husband Nicholas Barone of Sagamore Beach, MA. He was greatly looking forward to becoming a grandfather and celebrating the birth of his first grandchild this November by Ashley and Nicholas.

Raised in Stratford, CT, Michael was the youngest of three. He is survived by his brother Louis Fusco and his wife Ellen of Hartland, Wisconsin. His niece Erin Fusco and her husband Karl Seigfried of Skokie, IL and their daughter, his great-niece, Freya Seigfried. He was predeceased by his late sister, Leona Fusco of Stratford, CT who passed away in 2015.

He was a proud graduate of Stratford High School, Class of 1968. He attended The University of Connecticut and graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Sociology in 1972. He went to Boston College to get a master's degree in 1974.

Mike last worked for National Grid as the Director of Marketing and retired back in 2011. He formally worked at Bently University and Grossman's, both of which he was proud of and would speak fondly of his colleagues. Mike had a passion for work and found excitement with everything he delivered. He enjoyed working so much so that he went on to start his own consulting business after he retired, named MarketKind LLC.

Mike had many hobbies. When he was younger, he would garden often and ensure his lawn was in perfect condition. He enjoyed cooking, especially his famous meatballs with his secret ingredient that was always a hit. He loved shopping and had a knack for finding the best deals. Lastly, he had a strong passion for desserts. Finding a restaurant with real claret sauce on spumoni would mean that restaurant was top quality!

He will be remembered most for his humor and quick wit, as well as his ability to talk to anyone about anything at all times. If you needed a restaurant recommendation, to know where to shop for sales or advice on which hot stocks to invest in, he was always up for a chat. Mike loved to tell stories and will fondly be remembered for all of them.
