Melvin A. Cieciorka, age 76, of Naugatuck, passed away on December 19, 2024.

Melvin was born in Bridgeport on February 1, 1948, to the late Joseph and Tessie (Prawdzik) Cieciorka, and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School-Bridgeport , class of 1965, and attended Grahm Junior College-School of Broadcasting & Radio prior to being drafted and Western New England University. Melvin was a U.S. Air Force veteran, with twenty years of service in the Armed Forces Radio and Television division., receiving the following commendations:  AF Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, AF Training Ribbon, Republic of Viet Nam Gallantry Cross, and the Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal.

Survivors include his loving and devoted sister, Carol Hayduk and her husband Gary, a longtime friend, Robert Jones, several cousins and friends. Melvin's family would like to thank the staff of the West Haven VA Medical Center, Department of Oncology, ENT/Speech Pathology, and Palliative Care, for their kind and compassionate care.

A graveside service for Melvin will take place on Friday May 30, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. at the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown, CT.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home-Stratford.
