Maureen G. Aceycek, age 69, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2024, in Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven. Born in Bridgeport on December 23, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Mileyka) Kaszycki.

She is survived by her beloved husband John H. Aceycek of 45 years, her son John Aceycek and his children Lola, Tucker, and Finley, her son Michael Aceycek and his wife Shelley Aceycek and their children Lillie, Harper, Myles, Quinn, and Theo, and her daughter Jenna Stanczyk and her husband Dan Stanczyk and their children Shea and Rory. Maureen is also survived by her mother-in-law Arleen Aceycek, sister-in-law Elaine Gavoli and her husband William Gavoli, her cousin Arlene Morrell and her husband Dave Morrell, and her lifelong friend Mimi Huntley and her husband Ed Huntley.

Maureen was a lifelong resident of the area. She loved reading, gallivanting with her daughter Jenna, hosting holidays and family parties, and spending time with her grandchildren. All who loved her dearly will never forget her kindness, her empathy, and her capacity to love.

The family would like to thank the staff of Smilow Cancer Hospital for the care and compassion given to Maureen.

Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, October 1st from 4-7 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.
