Matthew R. Dalling of Oxford Connecticut, beloved 24-year-old son of Colleen Curran Dalling and Ross T. Dalling, was welcomed into heaven on Sunday October 31st, 2010. He is survived by his brother Ross Kenneth Dalling and his fiancée Amy Latka also of Oxford, two grandmothers Judith A. Curran of Shelton and Mary Bishop Galt of Oxford, his grandfather Kenneth Dalling, of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Michael Joseph Curran and Robert Davidson Galt. He is the nephew of Grant R. Dalling and Grant's wife Kerry of Stratford, Michael and Betsy Curran of Stratford, Sean and Stephanie Curran of Shelton, and Tom and Patricia Curran Ganim of Easton. Matthew was his cousin Kayla Dalling's godfather. He had a very special loving relationship with his Uncle Mike Marshall of Oxford, Great Aunt Maureen Curran Kostiuk of Milford, and Ted Bishop of Fairfield. He is loved and cherished by dozens of cousins and extended family members. Matt was a senior at Sacred Heart University majoring in Biology and a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He graduated from Notre Dame High School, Fairfield and St. Rose Elementary School, Newtown. An avid hockey player, golfer, and martial artist, Matthew was enthusiastic about all sports. He recently completed an Emergency Medical Technicians course and was an enthusiastic volunteer at the Yale Peabody Museum in New Haven, and worked as a laboratory technician at Sacred Heart. Last Spring, Matt studied in Ireland and was an "honest to goodness Irishman." He loved to talk with everyone, the older the better, and was very inquisitive about all aspects of life. He was a man of faith and good will. His extraordinary life will be celebrated, at 11:00am Friday November 5th during a Mass of Christian Burial at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, Sacred Heart University 5151 Park Avenue Fairfield, Connecticut. Friends may greet his family on Thursday evening from 4 to 7 in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
