Maryann I. Bonavita, age 70, of Derby, passed away on November 17, 2025.

Maryann was born in Bridgeport on February 15, 1955, to the late Andrew H. Moniuk Sr. and Mary Dutka Moniuk and had been a lifelong area resident. She worked for many years as a waitress, secretary, and retired from Lord and Taylor Department Store. She deeply enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and baking for loved ones.

Survivors include her devoted daughters, Leah Canale and her husband Peter of Yonkers, NY and Katina Testa of Shelton, 6 cherished grandchildren, Patrick, Angelina, Andrew, and Marisa Canale, and MaKailyn Jo and Breelyn Joan Stowers, and a brother Andrew H. Moniuk Jr.

A graveside funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 25th at 1:30 p.m. meeting directly at St. John's Cemetery 2610 Nichols Avenue Stratford.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
