Maria "Mary" M. Zuber, age 84, of Shelton entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 7, 2005 peacefully at home. Born in Georgedorf, Germany, she came to the United States over 50 years ago. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Prior to her illness, she was a very active parishioner of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Stratford. She volunteered many hours at VARCA for the handicapped in Derby where her beloved son Theodore of Shelton has been employed for over 30 years. She is also survived by her son Stephen Zuber and his wife Paula of Shelton and their two children Jocelyn and Stefan; a daughter Julia DeJoseph of Shelton and her three children Kristal, Shannon and Michaela a great grandson Dante; a daughter Mary McMinn-Zuber of Derby; a daughter-in-law Gail Zuber of Stratford and her three children Amanda, Matthew and Erik; a brother Stefan Binias of Germany. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Michael Sr. and her son Michael Jr. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at 9:15 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:00 am in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church Honeyspot Road Stratford with a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 pm.
