Mary Claire Durgin Villa, age 91, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Albert Anthony Villa, passed away on December 19, 2023. Claire was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on April 25, 1932, to the late Harry and Lillian (Farrell) Durgin.  She graduated from the Bullard Havens LPN course in 1960.  She worked at Park City Hospital, St. Vincent's Hospital and at 3030 Park Health Center until her retirement.  She was a charter staff member at the first ICU in Connecticut. She served as President of the Stonybrook School PTO and was an avid tennis player.

Survivors include her children, Deirdre Marie Villa and William (Tony) Villa and his wife Eileen all of Stratford, 3 grandchildren, Jessica Chickos (Scott), Erik Villa (Monica Solc), and William Villa Jr. (Matthew), 3 great-grandchildren, Caleigh, Aleksis, and Skarlett Villa, her step grandson Alexander Supernois and many nieces and nephews. She lived a rich, full life and brought joy to those around her with her laughter and smile. Her shining personality and laugh will be sorely missed.

Visitation on Wednesday, December 27th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
