Mary A. Slossar Chuba, age 98, of Seymour, formerly of Bridgeport and Stratford, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Born September 8, 1914 to the late Anna and Joseph Slossar. Mary will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. It is with fond and sweet memories that she is laid to rest. Survivors include her daughter Ruth Mae Brobeil and her husband John of Oxford, granddaughter Christine Brobeil-Gamble and her husband Jeffrey of Milford, grandson John M. Brobeil of Bridgeport, sister Anne Kollmannsperger of Woodstock, and several nieces. She was pre-deceased by her husband Michael Edward Chuba Jr, 2 brothers Joseph and Vincent Slossar and her sister Helen Duch. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the staff at Shady Knoll Health Center in Seymour, and Vitas Hospice Care for the comfort and support they provided. As per Mary's wishes funeral services and interment are private, and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
