Mary L. Kozak passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008. She was born and lived in Scranton, PA until 2004 when she moved to St. Joseph's Manor, Trumbull, CT to be closer to her family. Mary graduated from Scranton Technical High School. She was employed for over 48 years by Northeastern Bank (now PNC) where she served as Trust Tax Officer prior to her retirement. Mary was a member of the American Business Women's Association, Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, and the PNC Bank 25 Year Club. After her retirement, Mary was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital. She was also a lifelong member of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church and for many years sang in the church choir. She was a member and officer of the Greek Catholic Union Lodge 31 and served for many years as secretary of District Five. She was predeceased by her parents Anna and John Kozak of Scranton. Survivors include her brother, John Kozak and his wife Eva of Bridgeport, nieces Kathy Cassidy and husband Richard of Wilton, CT and Judi Fleischer and husband Michael of Easton, CT. She is also survived by her great-nieces Allison, Jen and Sarah Fleischer and her great-nephews James, Michael and Dan Cassidy. The Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford has been entrusted with the arrangements. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 17, 2008 at 11 AM at St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church in Scranton, PA. There will be no calling hours. Internment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Minooka, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Manor, Employee Giving Fund, 6448 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611.
