Mary E. Kovac, age 79 of Shelton, passed away in her home on July 9, 2021.

Born in Bridgeport on August 29, 1941, to the late William and Ella (Prall) Kovac, she was a long-time resident of Stratford prior to moving to Shelton. Mary was an active member of Stratford United Methodist Church where she was involved in the choir.

Survivors include her siblings, Ruth Semancik of Stratford, William Kovac and his wife Josephine of Shelton and Linda Wallace of Florida, many special nieces and nephews, especially her Goddaughter, Lisa Semancik, her "kid", Linda Ann Smith and her "special girlfriends". In addition to her parents, Mary was pre-deceased by her brothers, John and Henry Kovac.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday July 14, 2021, from 10:30 -11:30 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 am with the Pastor Suhee Kim officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford.
