Mary F. Demchak, age 88, of Wallingford, the beloved wife of Michael Demchak, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 23. 2016 in Masonicare of Wallingford surrounded by her family. Born in Bačkov, Czechoslovakia to the late Michael and Mary (Malik) Figula, she was a long-time resident of Bridgeport before moving to Wallingford. She was a Communicant of St. John's Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church in Bridgeport where she was a member of the Seniors Club and the Mother's and Daughter's Club. Mary will be remembered for her sweet and simple demeanor who made friends easily. She was an active volunteer who loved helping people. Survivors in addition to her husband of 68 years include her beloved children, Gary Demchak and his wife Cynthia of Meriden and Darlene Gallagher and her husband Dennis of Monroe, grandchildren, Christina and Gregory Demchak, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Ken Figula and a sister, Jennie Sekelsky. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to all the nurses and caregivers on Ramage 4 at Masonicare, for their care and compassion. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10:30 am in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with the Rev. David Cochran officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 – 10:30AM. The family request in lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Mary's memory to St. John's Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church.
