Mary (Janovich) Argonese, a lifelong Stratford resident, passed peacefully into eternal rest on September 23, 2017, at the age of 94.

She is predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Janovich; her siblings John "J.J." Janovich, Theresa Hurley, Frances Beaumont, Margarite A. Burel, and William Janovich.

Her loving family survivors include her siblings Eleanor Sullivan, Elizabeth Sembiante and her husband William, Robert Janovich and his wife Anne Marie, and her many nieces and nephews.   Special thanks go to the very special nieces who provided for her late life care, Patricia Prest and Beth Hurley.

A woman often described as being "ahead of her time," Mary worked for General Electric and Casco Products, and retired from Sikorsky Aircraft.  Never one to shy away from expressing her opinions, Mary was loved by the family whom she always put first. Her sisters remember her love of singing, and the great times they enjoyed harmonizing together at family gatherings.

Interment is private at Mary's request, and details are being arranged by Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place in Stratford.  A memorial mass is being arranged and will be announced at a later date.
