Mary "Merkey" Korsnak Andreoli, age 100 of Bridgeport, passed away on October 18, 2016 in the Carolton Health Center, Fairfield. Mary, a retired seamstress for the Levine Coat Company, was born in Bridgeport to the late John and Helen (Kocsmansky) Korsnak, and has been a life long area resident. She earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse, but sewing was her true passion. She also enjoyed crocheting and crafts. Mary was a life long member of the Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist in Bridgeport, and was also a member of the Black Rock Seniors. She loved nothing more than spending time with her great-niece and nephew and their children. Survivors include her devoted sister, Helen Gurg, niece, Barbara Pennell and her husband George, great-nephew Scott Pennell and his wife Nubia, and their children, Micaela and Matias all of Fairfield, and great-niece Ariane Swift and her husband James, and their children, Bradley and Gavin of Milford. In addition to her parents, Mary was pre-deceased by her brothers, John and George Korsnak, and sister, Margaret Marks. Mary's family would like to thank the staff of the Carolton HCC for their kind and loving care. Friends are invited to attend Mary's funeral service on Friday, October 21 st at 10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford officiated by Very Rev. Peter Paproski.
