Martha Babey Kasper, age 96 of Stratford passed away on Saturday May 26, 2007 in Connecticut Hospice Branford. Mrs. Kasper, a homemaker was born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania to the late John and Martha (Oleyar) Babey, and has been a life long area resident. She was a member of the St. John's Seniors and the Royal Neighbors of America, and was the widow of Peter Kasper. Survivors include her beloved children Robert Kasper and his wife Adrienne of Mercerville, NJ, Richard Kasper and his wife Christine of Huntington and Joan Molnar and her husband Peter of Stratford, 7 cherished grandchildren Susan Halucka and her husband Joe, Sandra Kasper, Laura Kasper, Peter Kasper and his wife Tina, Sarah Brockett and her husband David, John Kasper and Mark Molnar and his wife Renée, 6 loving great-grandchildren Sophia, Isabella and Charlotte Molnar, Daniel and Lindsay Brockett and Matthew Kasper, 2 sisters Anne Babey and Dorothy Marsan both of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was pre-deceased by her grandson Peter "Chip" Molnar, 2 brothers Peter and George Babey and a sister Mary Jankura. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday May 30th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Panachida on Tuesday a t 4:30 p.m. At the family's request those desiring may make donations to the Endowment Fund of St. John's Church.
