Mark S. Vendetti, age 68, of Stratford, the beloved husband of Myrna DeFrancisco-Vendetti, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport to the late Samuel and Charlotte (Reback) Vendetti, he has been a lifelong area resident. In addition to his wife Myrna, he is survived by a son, Samuel Vendetti, two sisters June Vendetti and Sandy Goncalves (husband John Goncalves, nephew Nicholas Goncalves). He was the devoted stepfather to Joseph DeFrancisco Jr (wife Ty Robles), Maritza DeFrancisco-Feliciano (husband Lemar Feliciano), along with five step grandchildren Joey DeFrancisco, Joshua DeFrancisco, Jaylin DeFrancisco, Justin Feliciano and his Princess Juliana Feliciano, as well as a host of family and friends. Mark worked many years for Stamford Wrecking Company, and then continued working for Shawn's Lawn until his retirement. Mark was a hard worker and there was not one thing he didn't know about Demolition. He could figure out a job with his eyes closed. Mark had a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh and a smile that could light up any room. He was an avid reader, history buff, loved playing word games and known to be the smartest man on earth by his step grandkids. Mark was the most loving person you could ever meet and will be greatly missed by many. I would like to thank Bridgeport Hospital and VITAS Healthcare for all the support and care they gave Mark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on June 17, 2020 at 10:30 a.m., meeting directly at St. James Church, 2070 Main St., Stratford. Interment will be private. Due to the pandemic and restrictions on public gatherings, everyone is required to wear a mask for the safety of all.
