Marja Iwasczyszyn Krchnavy, age 79 of Monroe passed away on Sunday July 30, 2006 in the Carolton H.C.C. Fairfield after and extended illness. Marja, was born in Bridgeport to the late Stephen and Anna Iwasczyszyn and had been a long time resident of Monroe and Lynchburg, Virginia. She attended fashion design school and worked as Sales Office Manager for Rolock Incorporated of Fairfield until her retirement. She was a gourmet cook and talented dress designer, and loved arts and crafts in which she excelled; she loved to entertain at her home with her family and friends. Marja was an avid reader and designed and built her Monroe home where she and her family lived for almost 40 years. She was the widow of John Krchnavy. Survivors include her beloved children Jon Krchnavy and his wife Joni Lipira Krchnavy of Monroe and Daria Krchnavy and her friend Cathy (Kelly) Morter of Lynchburg, VA, her devoted grandchildren Jessica Joan, Jon Alan Jr, Caroline Miller and Dane Ethan, a brother John Iwasczyszyn and two sisters-in-law Helen Iwasczyszyn and Diane Evans and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was pre-deceased by a brother Andy Evans and sisters Helen Dupuis and Dorothy Dupuis. Funeral services will take place on Thursday August 3rd at 9:00 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery Bridgeport. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
