Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marion J. Mackie, 94, of Stratford, CT passed away peacefully at home Sunday August 27, 2023, surrounded by loving family.

Marion was born January 5, 1929, in Bridgeport, CT. She spent most of her life and raised her family there, moving to Stratford in 2011.She loved spending summers at her cottage in Otis, MA and cherished time spent with family and friends.

Marion is survived by her children, Joyce DeFeo (Edward), Jill Carrington (Rob), J. Jay Mackie (Monica), Jamie Wuennemann (Thomas); grandchildren, Sarah Terpos, Bobby Carrington, John DeFeo, Lauren Kremheller, Marissa Thomas and five great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband James in 1997, daughter, Janet Mackie in 2002 and brother, Ralph March in 1985.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wendy M. Awa APRN and the nurses at the CHF clinic at SVMC for the wonderful care they gave Marion this past year and to Lisa Chidrashvili her caregiver for the last two years.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, meeting directly at St. Mark Church 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford.

Interment will be private in Otis, MA. The Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
