Marina R. Verrilli, age 87 of Stratford, the beloved widow of Eugene R. Verrilli, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born on July 14, 1933 to the late John and Agnes (Vitali) Palleari in Gropello Cairoli, Italy. Her family migrated to the United States when she was 3 years old and has been a lifelong Stratford resident. Together with her husband Eugene, they ran their family business, Herald Graphics, where Marina was the secretary and bookkeeper. Marina was a social butterfly with an infectious smile.  She enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong with lifelong friends.  As a parishioner of St. Mark Church, she was active in the prayer shawl ministry.  A resident of Oronoque Village, she was active with the doll crafters and red hatters.

Survivors include her devoted children, Ralph Verrilli and his wife Lynn, and Cynthia Ragsdale and her husband Daniel; 6 grandchildren, Roy Ragsdale and his wife Kayla, Reed Ragsdale and his wife Kimberly, Kelsey Rowe and her husband Ben, Rebecca McDonald and her husband Brendan, Ethan and Mark Verrilli; 7 great-grandchildren, Harrison McDonald, Dan, Louisa, James, Rowan and Reagan Ragsdale and Ellie Rowe, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, her sisters, Frances Vitale and Linda Harchuck, predeceased Marina.

The family would like to thank her companion, Elizabeth, for the great care and friendship she provided.  They would also like to thank the staff of the Bridgeport Hospital Medical ICU and West Tower 7.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Interment will be in the Putney Cemetery Stratford. Everyone in attendance must follow the COVID 19 guidelines and wear a mask and practice social distancing.
