Marilyn Louise Sorensen Cavallaro, age 75, of Stratford, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in Bridgeport Hospital. Marilyn, retired employee of Ray's Mobil Station in Stratford was born in Bridgeport to the late Samuel and Lily (Traverse) Sorensen and has been a life long area resident. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a volunteer at Sterling House Food Pantry. Marilyn enjoyed crocheting, especially baby blankets. Survivors include her devoted daughter, Deborah Lockwood Latella and her husband Joseph F. Latella Jr. of Orange, 2 grandchildren, Stefanie Knight and her husband Gregory, and Gregory Lockwood, 2 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Christopher Knight, her brother, Richard Sorensen, a special friend, Joseph Sincavage, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was pre-deceased by her brothers, Robert and Harold Sorensen, and sisters, Carol Curcio and Gloria Cole. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 1st at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in Stratford United Methodist Church. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 p.m.
