Marian J. Zelle, age 88, of Stratford, the beloved widow of Joseph A. Zelle, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Stratford to the late John and Mary (Sulik) Krehel and most recently was a resident at Wesley Heights in Shelton. Marian had a passion for cooking and baking, but her love for her family was even greater. Survivors include her devoted children, Joel Zelle (Lynne) of West Bloomfield, MI;  Marilyn Williams (Ed Peters) of Bridgeport;  and Laurie Trupp (Paul) of Stratford;  7 grandchildren, Jennifer and Ashley; Julie and Gareth; Greg, Meghan and Alec; 3 great-grandchildren, Ava, Hunter and Ethan; 2 brothers, Jack and Richard Krehel of Stratford; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Charles and Lawrence Krehel.  Friends may greet her family on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 am in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.  A prayer service will be held at 11:00 am.
