Margaret B. Strich, age 106, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late John Strich, passed away on October 16, 2022. Margaret was born in Bridgeport on October 16, 1916, to the late George and Veronica (Filischko) Bobko and had been a lifelong area resident. She was retired from General Electric but prided herself foremost as a homemaker. Margaret was an active member of the Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, Bridgeport, Azalia Chapter NO #2 Order of Eastern Star, YMCA Retired Industrial Club, and Baldwin Senior Center. She was an avid fan of UCONN Women's Basketball. Margaret particularly enjoyed BINGO in the local area churches, treasured the fellowship of playing a variety of card games in numerous venues with Senior Citizens, and enjoyed and cultivated flowers and plants. Survivors include her devoted son, Richard A. Strich and his wife Leona of Manassas, VA, cherished grandchildren, Deborah August and her husband Mark of Bow, NH, Robert J. Strich and his wife Katherine of Gainesville, VA, and David A. Strich and his wife Kelly of Woodbridge, VA, eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, devoted niece Barbara (Bobko) Burzynski of Trumbull, CT, nephew Robert Bobko of Bluffton, SC, and devoted childhood friend, Anna Freibott of Milford, CT. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Margaret was predeceased by her son, John G. Strich, granddaughters, Jennifer Noble, and Michele Poniatowski, and brothers, Michael, George, and Andrew Bobko. Friends may greet her family on Tuesday, October 25 th from 11a.m.- 12 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. A Requiem Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, Bridgeport. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
