Obituary

Margaret ("Marge") Miterko went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2024, after a long illness.

Marge was born on January 16, 1933, to George and Anna Borodach in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Marge graduated with honors from Harding High School, and later went on to earn her licensed practical nursing degree. She enjoyed a long career in healthcare and was happiest tending to geriatric patients. Marge married Peter Miterko on July 13, 1952, and they were blessed with almost 72 years together.

Marge is survived by her husband Peter and sons Peter Jr. (Melissa) and Ron (Jeanne). Marge was the proud grandmother of Peter Miterko III, Christopher Miterko, Michael Miterko, Noah Miterko, Warren Miterko and Joseph Miterko, all of whom survive her. Marge is also survived by her sister Dorothy Daymonde, of Shelton.

Marge was a life-long member of St. John the Baptist Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church in Bridgeport, where she served selflessly as a volunteer. Marge was a warm, and affectionate person, loved by many. She will be missed.
