Margaret Ann Allis, age 90, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Michael Allis, passed away on October 14, 2018. She was born on August 6, 1928 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Florence and Frank Dillon. Marge had a difficult childhood, abandoned by her father, the family struggled, but Marge was smart and hardworking and made a name for herself in the insurance business. She opened Monroe Insurance Co., and became the first woman President of the Professional Insurance Agents in Connecticut. " Bunny"(a name lovingly given by her adoring husband), was loyal, kind and generous and was always ready to plan her next spectacular party. She loved people and she loved her pets. Bunny is now at peace in heaven with her soul mate Mike. Our gratitude for the care of Vitas Hospice and the devotion of Fr Paproski and the St John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church community. A Requiem funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, October 18 ^th at 11 a.m. meeting directly at St. John's Orthodox Church 1240 Broadbridge Ave Stratford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours have been omitted. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home-Stratford. Donations in memory of Marge can be made to St Johns' Church.
