Marcia A. Southard Yarson, age 61 of Milford lost a 5year courageous battle to cancer on Friday January 9, 2009 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Marcia, a retired Assistant Librarian for the City of Bridgeport Board of Education was born in Bridgeport to the late Russell and Helene (Huly) Southard and has been a life long area resident. She was a graduate of Harding High School and Central Connecticut State University. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her beloved husband David Yarson, her devoted daughters Christyn O'Brien and her husband Mike of Meriden, Lauren Murphy and her husband Andy of Milford and Jennifer Hunter and her husband Kevin of Virginia, her cherished grandchildren Victoria, Caitlyn, Riley and Samantha and a plethora of loving family and friends. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by a sister Sharon Pisacane. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday January 13th at 9:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Gabriel's Church Milford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford.
