Obituary

Lucille May Sloane Pyrch, age, 88, of Milford, passed away peacefully at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stratford after suffering a long illness on Sunday June 21, 2015 at 10:38PM. Lucille was born August 26, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her son Nicholas Pyrch, Jr.. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Nicholas Andrew Pyrch of Milford, and nine of her ten children: daughters Debra Pyrch-Brockman, Anngeanetta Murray, Margaret Pyrch-Bowlan, and Maureen Pyrch: and sons Thomas Pyrch, James Pyrch, William Pyrch, Edward Pyrch, and Patrick Pyrch. Lucille earned a nursing degree from Bridgeport Hospital. She was very involved in Girl Scouts, Red Cross, swimming and diving. In her early years she participated in synchronized swimming. She coached swimming and diving and was a championship coach at Lauralton Hall High School. She enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving, camping and astronomy, duck pin bowling, knitting and crocheting. In her retirement years she studied genealogy. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10AM DIRECTLY in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 71 River St, Milford, with the Rev Cynthia Knapp officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7PM in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
